The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback arrives as a significant evolution of its predecessor, bringing substantial technical upgrades that keen EV enthusiasts will appreciate. Most notably, the battery capacity sees a considerable jump. The usable energy now sits at a hefty 106 kWh thanks to a physically larger pack with improved energy density cells. This translates directly to a longer range, addressing a key concern for many EV drivers. Charging capabilities are also enhanced, with faster DC fast charging speeds now peaking at 170 kW, allowing for quicker replenishment on long journeys. The onboard charger has also been upgraded to 11 kW as standard, with a 22 kW option available for faster AC charging at compatible public points or home setups.

Under the sleek Sportback silhouette, the Q8 e-tron boasts a refined powertrain. The dual asynchronous motors deliver a combined output of up to 300 kW in boost mode and 664 Nm of torque, ensuring brisk acceleration and confident performance. Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system, now with electric torque vectoring, remains a core component, offering excellent traction and stability, especially in challenging conditions. The rear motor in particular has been redesigned, featuring 14 instead of 12 coils, which contributes to improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption.
