Tesla has unveiled the refreshed Model Y, codenamed “Juniper,” introducing significant updates to its popular electric crossover. The new Model Y features a sleeker design with a full-width light bar at the front and rear, enhancing its modern aesthetic. Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with premium materials, an eight-inch rear touchscreen for passenger convenience, and ambient lighting to create a more refined atmosphere. These enhancements aim to elevate both the vehicle’s visual appeal and occupant comfort.
Performance improvements are also notable in the Juniper update. The vehicle is equipped with new wheels and an updated suspension system designed to provide a smoother and quieter ride. The long-range version boasts an impressive range of up to 446 miles, catering to drivers seeking extended travel capabilities. Additionally, the Model Y maintains a top speed of 124 mph and supports peak charging speeds of 250 kW, ensuring efficient long-distance travel.
Currently, the refreshed Model Y is available for order in China and select Asia-Pacific markets, with deliveries expected to commence in March 2025. While Tesla has not yet announced availability in the U.S. and Europe, the Juniper update underscores Tesla’s commitment to innovation and its strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive electric vehicle market.
